About LADEC

LADEC (Laboratory Automation Developers Conference) brings together researchers and developers from academia and industry working on Laboratory Automation in robotics, AI, and related application areas such as life science and materials science.

Rather than focusing solely on outcomes achieved through automation, the conference emphasizes sharing how the automation was implemented, the technical and practical challenges encountered during development, and the solutions devised to overcome them.

Target Audience

  • Developers and users involved in laboratory automation (including those building their own hardware or software, users of commercial devices such as flow cytometers or liquid handlers, and those experimenting with microfluidics, microscopy, image processing, LLMs, AI, etc.)
  • Researchers and students in life science, chemistry, materials science, and related fields interested in automation
  • Business professionals in robotics, IT, life science, chemistry, materials science, etc.
  • People engaged in R&D of related technologies and equipment
  • Support, administrative, or management staff of organizations connected to the above fields
  • We invite everyone interested in automation—humans, robots, and AIs alike
